We schedule a variety of classes every month for all levels of knitters. Our classes are designed to teach while leaving you with a sense of accomplishment. Our creative and knowledgeable instructors are available to help you whether you are having trouble with a stitch or need help patterning your next project.

Learn how to knit in around and magic loop technique. Great skill building class.
Materials: Appropriately sized round needles and yarn.
This class will cover making the foundation chain, working in single crochet and (if time allows) double crochet. If you want to learn to crochet and want to get the best start this class is for you!
Materials: Worsted weight or similar yarn with appropriately sized crochet hook. Bright colored, non-fuzzy yarn works best for learning.
Hit the ground running with this great introduction to the world of knitting! This class will cover casting on and the knit stich. Purling will be covered as time allows.

Work on squares from either the “Building Blocks” or “Building in Color” books. This class is great for knitters wanting to add a few things to their bag of tricks! Learn a variety of stich patterns and color work techniques in a relaxed environment and assemble your squares into a blanket, pillow or scarf.
Materials: Aran weight yarn with appropriately sized needles and pattern book. We are happy to help you determine the amount of yarn that you will need based on the squares that you choose to make.
Gracefully twisting cables are a wonderful enhancement for almost any knitted piece . In this class, you will learn how to read a cable chart and how to follow written cable instruction.
Learn to make the timeless granny square! This crochet stitch can be made into squares that are pieced to make a bigger blanket.
Must be comfortable with the double crochet and single crochet stitch.
In this class, you will learn to plan ahead before beginning your work so that you may join horizontal seams almost invisibly. You will learn how to seam stockinette, reverse stockinette (purl) and garter stitch knitted pieces; how to pick-up stitches for cardigan center bands and for neck and sleeve edgings; and how to weave in those dangling ends.
Materials: 1 skein of solid color, pastel or white worsted weight yarn, two size 8 knitting needles, 1 tapestry needle.
Homework: Make 2: Cast on 10 stitches in your chosen yarn and work 12 rows in stockinette stitch, then 12 rows in reverse stockinette stitch, and then 12 rows in garter stitch.
Have you ever worked a row (or a number of rows) “perfectly,” only to suddenly notice a glaring mistake in one or more of the rows you have just completed? Well, here is a chance to learn simple repairs for some of the most common mistakes we make.
In the class, you will learn how to “unknit” a row to correct your error within the same row, how to pick up dropped stitches from rows down below, and how to unravel your work safely to a point rows below where your mistake first appears. If time permits, we will also cover trouble shooting to avoid certain problems before they arise.

The Tunisian stich gives a woven appearance and will look beautiful on everything from sweaters to purses. In this class, you will learn how to crochet the Tunisian stitch, how to change colors in Tunisian crochet, how to do Tunisian double crochet, and more.
Materials: your choice of yarn (sport, dk, and worsted are best for learning) and a Tunisian crochet hook.
This class will teach how to work the Brioche Rib Stitch in 2 colors. This stitch creates a reversible, textured fabric.
